On 14st of September 2021, the last Lufthansa A380 has left Frankfurt Airport for Teruel for long term storage.
There are currently twelve LH A380s stored in Teruel,Spain (TEV) and two in Tarbes, France (LDE).
The Airbus A380 will not be a part of Lufthansa’s future fleet, as stated by chief executive Carsten Spohr as reported by website Aerotime. Covid-19 Pandemia and reduction of passengers accelerates the decision to put large capacity aircrafts on storage as some others major airlines.
Lufthansa receive its first A380 on May 2010, and the last one on April 2015.
