On March 31st, the BB8™ ANA aircraft took off on its final flight with Star Wars livery.

A sad day is soon approaching not only for aviation enthusiasts but for Star Wars fans as well. March 31st will mark the final flight of the famously adorable BB-8 All Nippon Airways (ANA) aircraft, a Boeing 777-381ER that is registered as JA789A and has been operating on the Tokyo Narita to Chicago route.

ANA will conduct a series of special farewell flights on the same day from Tokyo (Haneda) to Okinawa (Nawa) and Sapporo (Chitose) airports for locals. Prior to BB-8’s farewell, the other two aircraft will be positioned at Haneda International Airport (HND) for one last photo together in the Japanese morning.

The aircraft was painted with the special livery on March 2016, so it wears her for six years.

So, the last sentence we have to say is: “The Force will be with you, always…”.
