    Terminal Terrace

    From the terrace you can photograph from both side of the roof of the terminal. It’s north-south oriented and it’s suggested for the afternoon. You need to buy a ticket which is valid all day long. Pay attention to the heat haze of the apron and the APU exhaust of the aircraft parked between the terrace and the taxiway.

    During cloudy day you can photograph either some aircraft departing from runway 29, or the ones using the pier apron west.

    One of the most practical location of Vienna Airport. You can reach the parking floor easily with your car or the elevator. It’s suitable from noon to the sunset. You can photograph the narrow body of the Star Alliance company at the pier north terminal like in the examples. From the same location you can see the Cargo Aircraft reaching the stand on the north side of the airport. You can even photograph the aircraft landing on runway 16 or the heavy ones departing from runway 34.

    Cycle Path – 34 arrivals

    Situated at the end of the runway 34, you can walk along the cycle path and choose the location you prefer for a 3/4 or a side photograph.

    NH Hotel Vienna Schwechat Airport view

    If you stay in the NH hotel of the airport, from the hallway of the last floor you can see the aircraft parked at the cargo apron.

    From the Schengen floor (Level 3) which is situated on top of the non-Schengen floor (Level 1), you have a clear visual of the heavy Austrian aircraft during push back.
